The forest holds many secrets, as does a woman….

The Northwest Coast of British Columbia: land of mountains, mist, and wilderness.

A rugged modern-day frontier, home to warm hearted, adventuresome people who rely on the land and their neighbors for survival. So when local forester Hunter Rawlings discovers a young woman unconscious and near death in the mountains, he takes her in. No questions asked.

As days turn to months she recovers physically under his care, but her memories are slow to return. Gradually a tender romance blooms and deep feelings develop between them, but as they grow, so does the menacing shadow of her past....

If You Knew Her is a slow burning, breath catching love story. It is a celebration of friendship and found family, a heartbreaking journey to discover the past and an honest look at the circumstances that shape who we are.

Some titles that could be considered comparable are: ‘Virgin River’ by Robyn Carr and ‘Redeeming Love’ by Francine Rivers.

Tropes: Slow burn, forced proximity, marriage of convenience, hidden identity, protective MMC, mild/moderate spice, pets with personality, happy ending.

About the Author

Hi, My name is Kimberly Pritchard

Thanks for visiting my page!!

I am a born and bred Canadian, who grew up running wild on the Northwest Coast of British Columbia, but have recently moved to Texas for my husband's work. (Yes, it is very hot down here.... thanks for asking. And no, I have not seen a rattle snake.)

When I am not writing, taking care of my four kids, or feeding my cats, I can be found exploring. I have recently discovered the Texas Gulf Coast and am completely enamored.

But I set my debut novel ‘If You Knew Her’ in northern British Columbia for two reasons - firstly I was feeling nostalgic for my home and secondly because I believe my up-bringing was unique and the experiences I’ve had in the wilderness of Canada are intriguing.

It is a land of mystery to many and I am often asked to tell my stories.

Because, well....not everyone has swam with a bear.

(Yes, actually. And no, it was not intentional. It was hot and we both happed to be in the same place at the same time. Truly an amazing experience.)

My background is in natural resource management. Previous to having kids I worked in the forest industry, as does the main character in my book. But these days I just write and make silly reels on Instagram.

So glad you have found me, and I hope you enjoy my novel :)

PS. Punctuation is the bane of my existence. I'm a writer NOT an editor. Luckily I have an editor, but not for my website. (Which I am sure is obvious, so please be kind. Lol)
